Probably has something to do with the fact that the latest version ignores the caching setting, which helps with slow media such as a USB drive. I had to revert to the old version in order to play files off my LAN.
9.2 seems to have broken the "Caching value in ms" setting, which is indispensable if playing movies over a LAN. Does anyone know how to fix it? I've had to revert to 8.6 in order to get my LAN video playing back.
Actually it is in the GUI. In the settings, enable All settings shown, then go to Input/Codecs > Access modules > File > Caching value in ms Only problem is, in the latest version this setting seems to have been disregarded, so I had to go back to 8.2 in order to use my network to play vids.
