Works now! example:
vlc -Idummy tintti.rec --sub-language fin :sout="#transcode{soverlay,vcodec=h264}:file{dst=testifile.mp4}" vlc://quit

Re: soverlay broken after version 0.8.6a?

yes, tested with 0.9.2 "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\vlc-0.9.2\vlc" --sub-language=fi file://"%infile%" --sout "#transcode{soverlay, vcodec=mp2v, vb=3000, acodec=mpga, ab=128, channels=2, audio-sync}:std{access=file, mux=ps, dst=%outfile%}" Same result, no subtitles on out...

Re: soverlay broken after version 0.8.6a?

I 100% agree with zuah. After version 0.8.6a subtitle selecting is somehow broken. "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\vlc-0.8.6a\vlc" --sub-language=fi "%infile%" --sout "#transcode{soverlay, vcodec=mp2v, vb=3000, acodec=mpga, ab=128, channels=2, audio-sync}:std{access=file, mux=ps,...
