I've found posts saying that in Preferences > Interface there should be something to allow language selection and yet mine does not have that, either in show simple mode, or show all ...

www.videolan.org mentions 0.8.6.i, the download link for Windows and Mac is 0.8.6, for Beos is 0.8.6, for the Linuxes is 0.8.6. So I guess the only supported version is the version fetchable from subversion?

The site indicates over 100,000,000 downloads of 0.8.6, and currently around 1.1 per second of 0.8.6. I submitted a bug report for a serious bug exhibited by 0.8.6, and I am told that 0.8.6 is not supported. What the???
