I just wanted to say that I too have the same problem and after searching the forums up and down I havent been able to fix it all. I have the same problems described above. Ver Batim.

Had anyone tried anything to get this working besides the above mentioned fixes?

So I'm hard of hearing, my left hear is a bit weaker then my right ear. Most of my MP3 players have the ability to make the left speaker in my headphone a bit louder then the right.
