Re: Video freezes/plays choppy/synch problem in Vista

Hello vlc_help Thanks for your help. But I must be so dumb. I google ProjectX and found two websites useful. The first one http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115063&package_id=124556. This one I downloaded two zip files. ProjectX_LanguagePack_0.90.4.00.zip which only contained...

Re: Video freezes/plays choppy/synch problem in Vista

Hello I did not intend to do multi-post but the original topic "VLC media player and Windows Vista" was locked. No-one can reply there which means no-one would help me on that problem. My problem is also a synch problem in Vista. Subtitle flashed and gone long before the related audio fini...

Re: DVD Subtitles gone

I need to know if Windows can be fully functioned. In case in the future I install something that crash the computer again, I know Windows system restore is an available option to fix it.

Re: DVD Subtitles gone

Hello Thanks I got that deleted. Haven't tried system restore operation to see any error yet. Maybe wait for a few days to allow some more restore points built to see if the system restore operation would work properly. Thanks.

Re: VLC media player and Windows Vista

Hello I also tried VLC nightlies. I install vlc-1.0.0-git-20080908-0006-win32.exe. Then I open file > video ( ... .ts ...) and choose the problematic .ts file to play. And go to video to play subtitle. Then it showed "VLC does not support the audio or video format "telx". No subtitle ...

Re: VLC media player and Windows Vista

simon_newbie: best way to fix DVB recordings is to use ProjectX to demux them and mux together using for example TMPGenc (File-> MPEG Tools...). Also if you haven't tried VLC nightlies, you could do that. http://nightlies.videolan.org/ Hello I have Java installed but I cannot install ProjectX. The m...

Re: DVD Subtitles gone

If that does not help, as DJ said if the subtitles are CC (Closed Captioning) it may not work (should say on the back of the DVD case). However, as of VLC 0.9.x CC subtitles is supported. Try a nightly build of it or download this test build: http://people.videolan.org/~jb/Builds/0 ... -win32.exe He...

Re: VLC media player and Windows Vista

Either the subtitle timings are horribly wrong, or there is bug in subtitle parsing, is there some sample file that you could share? I have the following message shown from the message box: ts warning: discontinuity received 0xb instead of 0xf (pid=519) ts warning: discontinuity received 0x1 instea...

Re: VLC media player and Windows Vista

Hello I just downloaded the latest version for window yesterday. My OS is windows Vista Home premium. When I playback a TS file (teletext subtitle), subtitle just flashed out for less than a second and gone long before the related speech ended. Then the next speech started and the related subtitle f...

Re: Weird subtitle problem.

Hello I used the new version 0.8.6i to play a .ts file. The subtitle only flashed for less than a second and gone. I tried to set frames to 10 seconds under open file > use subtitles file > advanced settings but that did not change anything. Is there anything I can do to make the subtitle showing sm...
