Does anyone happen to have any 32-bit compiles of VLC for Ubuntu? The repository for Ubuntu only has the older 8.6 version.

VLC Ubuntu - Only allow one instance possible?

Hey Everyone,

In VLC (Specificly I'm running under Ubuntu), is there a way to make VLC always reuse the current instance rather than popping up a new video window each time a new media is double-clicked? I know Windows VLC can do it, but I'm not sure if Linux can.

Not specificly. I have an AVI file which is highly compressed and whenever you fast forward it takes about 10 seconds for the next intraframe to roll by and clear up the picture. I know some other players such as Mplayer can fast forward directly to intraframes, but it looks like VLC always chooses ...

Hi Everyone, I noted when playing some videos, while trying to fast forward, sometimes you don't stop at an intraframe so you get macroblocks for a short time until the next intraframe passes by. Is there a way to configure VLC player to always stop at an intraframe so you never have to wait for it ...
