I think I got it FIXED!!!

Instead of above default values, set:

How AQ attributes bits = 1
Strength of AQ = 0.50

Can you try with no-audio-transcode?

I tried modifying VLM script to this... ... and it still crashed Transcoding without audio through user interface also crashed VLC.

Thank you, that's what I thought. Would 0.8.6i support .hosts file then? I looked into /http/old/ folder, and .hosts is not there. I need to use 0.8.6i as this is the last build capable of streaming H.264 + AAC without crashing...
