Choppy Video (MOV)

I am having trouble playing back some MOV files using VLC. When I use QuickTime, it is perfect on Mac and Windows. VLC - On Windows, the video is choppy and there is no sound. VLC - On MAC, the video is choppy, but the audio is fine. Media Info: Stream 0: DV Video (dvc) 720x480 29.969834 frame rate ...

Re: Default Videos to Play at Double-Size

Thanks, I didn't see this when I originally looked because I didn't realize I had to scroll down (duh...) I didn't see it this time either, but since you said it was there I managed to take a second and third look and see the scroll bars.

Default Videos to Play at Double-Size

We would like to have all of our videos played at double size (200%) automatically. I understand there is an option to play Fullscreen automatically, but that isn't quite the same thing.

Locking Playback Speed for a Playlist

We would like to be able to create a playlist of videos, set the playback speed to 4X, and then have that locked in for each of the movies. Is this possible?

Re: Length and Current Time Location

The camera used was either the Sony DCR-DVD505 or the Sony DCR-DVD508. ANother camera they use, the Sony DCR-SR85 (a Hard Drive camera) does not give them these issues.

Will get back with a video...

Re: Length and Current Time Location

Still waiting to hear back on the camera. He did get back to me on the software.

The videos are filmed on XXX camera.
The camera writes to mini-discs.
The disc is then placed in a computer and the videos are converted to MPG's using Sony Picture Package.
The software is version 1.8.60417.1

Re: Length and Current Time Location

I am waiting to hear back from the engineer who uses the camera. I believe the camera is a Sony DCR-DVD505, but I will verify when I can. The files created are MPG files. I believe they are created using Sony Picture Package. Again, I will verify this when I can.

Re: Length and Current Time Location

The videos are made on a regular basis. I would doubt that they are consistently broken day after day.

If they are broken, why then does Windows Media Player display the correct times? Nero ShowTime also displays the correct time.

Length and Current Time Location

I apologize if this has been posted already (I searched "length") or if this is the wrong forum-- I don't know if it's specific to Windows or not. When I run certain videos, it does display a start time of 0:00, but rather a different time. This also causes the length to appear long than i...
