Ok, thanks..

In my Startmenu where in my programs-list it used to say VLC-player it now says Set Video mode to Open GL

What does this mean and did I or do I need to change anything?

Won't I completely f#up the installation of the player then??

I'm using the latest version; VLC Media Player 0.9.8a
But today the function is working again as if by magic???? Didn't do any expirimenting or nothing??

So what should I do next time this happens you say? Remove C/Documents&settings/ Application Data/vlc who where??

I used to open files clicking on them. Next thing the Vlcplayer popped into vision and played the movie. For some reason videofiles don't open anymore now unless I select them using the player. I tried to reinstall but the problem remains the same? When I click a movie now the sandrunner appears but...

Thanks for the reply but resetting to standard-settings didn't do the job..

edit; Never mind.. Shortage of patience made me reinstall the player and the control panel is now back where it belongs.

I was watching a movie in Fullscreen mode and after I clicked 'mute' my control panel disappeared ?? Can't figure out how to put it back there.. Tools >> Preferences.

I checked Preferences/Video/Subtitles and saw that this one .srt was the one that opened with every movie.
After erasing it there -however 'automatically search for subtitles' doesn't work- it didn't come back..

Problem solved for now.. Thanks!!

It's the same one whatever movie I select with the 'Open with...'-option. Next thing I know there's an error-notification.
Even when I select 'delete' or 'don't show further warnings' in the notification window.. The 'error' is back with the next movie.

What to do??
