I don't thing that option works with VLC, since I would guess it is related to EVR/DirectShow chain that VLC doesn't use in. but doesnt VLC already use GPU hardware decoding? why not deinterlacing as well? Does VLC work with GPU deinterlacing?

ive noticied VLC doesnt allow nvidia to deinterlace the video, only when i turn it on in the options does it work. How to get vlc to use hardware deinterlacing?

I have an issue that i do not if it is normal . When i enable gpu decoding (i have an ati radeon hd 5650) i can notice lower cpu usage but the subs when watching anime which are soft subs , look blurry . Is this an effect from using the gpu ? i got nvidia, and that happened with more than one card with different computers. you get better color as well as contrast when its disabled

this is unacceptable, all players work fine, why only does VLC do this? you smart people need to work on this now. its not windows fault unless they did it intentionally because they hate VLC. one of the codecs used needs to be replaced with one that is compatible.

i got the same problem, its VLC's fault as its not compatible with windows 7. they should fix it but they seem to not be interested even though after a year many of us will be using win 7 only.
