Thanks for the help VLC help I have not been able to try all your suggestions yet due to a program hogging my computer for some time. But have set Direct X as ouptut However I can say that using Replay Media Catcher there is no problem and flv files recorded on it play perfectly on VLC media centre....

When I play back an flv file recorded (raw) using vlc media player the sound is juumbled a little like someone altering the speed so that it is not possible to here the individual sounds. there is also no video on play back.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I seem to have the same problem but can not find any advice on how to solve it anywhere. However I discovered that when I move the window around the screen the picture appears but only as long as it is moving. Any ideas?
BTW I am trying to save and review flv files.
