Sorry to not be specific! The setting I am referencing is in Tools->Preferences->Video under "Window Properties". The settings are "video width" and "video height" and on Windows these make VLC launch at the same size each time, but in OS X, changing these settings does...

Just letting you know, on OSX 10.5.5 Intel, VLC 0.9.3 does not pay attention to the "video size" settings that enable you to open all videos at the same resolution. This is really frustrating on a laptop, where 1080p content goes WAY off the screen without this setting, plus it's irritatin...
