I do confirm that playback issues discussed here are still present for 0.9.6 as far as I've tested it on my macs (PB G4, PowerMAC dual G5, MacBookPRO)

I do confirm that on 0.9.5 too the choppy issueas are still there on a PowerBook G4 , I'll test on the PowerMacG5 dual and on my MBP aswell soon.

I suggets to modify the Topic title to VLC 0.9.2 to 0.9.4 extremely choppy video compared to 0.8.6i
