Your VLC build does not have UPnP support. You need to recompile.

Ok. I'm fairly sure that discussion on pirated videos is illegal here. Have you put the torrent file into a proper torrent client? I'm running 0.8.6c and there is no uPnP option there.

I'll try this in the morning. I have a H.264 (or maybe it's x.264 i forget) that uses the mkv container, and the performance is average.
