Re: Hardware decoding VLC stream.

I contacted the hardware vendor but it is unwilling to write a plugin. Would that be the only way to make this work?

Re: Playing stream from MPEG4 encoder

I'm using a Teleste encoder and I just found out that I can play an MPEG2 stream from the encoder. MPEG4 isn't supported.

Playing stream from MPEG4 encoder

I have an encoder configured with an MPEG4 stream. The only way that I can play the stream is by saving the settings from the encoder onto an .sdp file and open that file with the player. Or I can take the .sdp file and stream it using VLC, and play it back with a command like 'vlc rtp://@225.x.x.x:...

Re: VLM shuts off

The output is while I was trying to play video while some streams were on. I use an snmp command line to activate/deactivate the stream on the encoder. I haven't ran version 0.9.6 overnight since I can't play video yet.

Re: VLM shuts off

When I run version 0.9.6, video doesn't come up by using the command line, vlc.exe udp://@225.x.x.x , or by using the GUI, File\Open Network Stream\UDP/RTP Multicast... I also can't telnet. It displays the password prompt but right away tells me connection lost. If I run version 0.8.6h none of these...

Re: VLM shuts off

When I tried the nightly build the command that I used to play the network stream, vlc udp://@225.x.x.x, doesn't work anymore. It works with my previous version, however. Any ideas what the syntax should be. Thanks.

Re: VLM shuts off

I just restarted VLC with the switch to log the outputs to the log file. I'll post it after VLM crashes.

Re: VLM shuts off

How do I get the outputs after the crash? It seems that VLM runs a bit longer when started with the -vvv option. The streams are always inactive unless I'm launching VLM or an operator requests video from a site. I tried a nightly build but I could no longer view video so I reverted to the previous ...

Re: VLM shuts off

It crashes. It's the only program running, and basically the next morning is gone from the screen. Here's an excerpt of my vlm.conf file: new channel1 broadcast enabled setup channel1 input c:\sdps\cctv1.sdp setup channel1 output #rtp{mux=ts,dst=225.252.0.151} control channel1 play new channel4 broa...

VLM shuts off

I'm using VLM to manage 20 streams from MPEG4 encoders in a wireless system. The streams are active prior to launching VLM. After VLM successfully starts and all the streams are manageable, I turn them off at the encoders in order to limit bandwidth usage. Everything works fine for a day or two, and...

Playing Multicast Stream

Please help. I have a Teleste encoder configured with a multicast stream. The only way that I can view it with VLC is by "drag and drop" the sdp file onto the player. When I use the GUI to open the network stream and enter the address and port, the stream isn't played. I also tried it from...
