When playing an audio c.d. (any that has 10 + tracks) Vlc player will number the tracks in its playlist 1 10 11 12... then 2 and so on. Can this be fixed? also how do you retrieve song information from the internet? I'm running VLC 0.9.8a.

p.s. I've already tried re-setting the settings

I had this problem to some time ago. Apparently some addons in firefox (foxytunes) can stuff up vlc and cause songs to keep playing.

I have the same problem, also AVI files are a no go and they dont open It seems that VLC is going backwards

Yep i am using 9.2, tried re-setting all settings, tried using pre-set encapsulations AND tried manulally imputing incapsulations and NOTHING works

when trying to save in the Mp4 (divx) AND (AAC) format the player always crashes. I tried re-setting all preferences but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

Yep. It seems that Goom crashes skins.

preferences>interface>main interface>wxwidgets and click system tray icon and unclick tool bar. Doesn't work in skinnible mode though

NO it didn't fix it. Soz. BUt when I re-enabled the minimise to tray feature (took a while 2 figure out how 2 agasin) it started crashing.


EDIT. I give up. Now it doesn't crash BUT it won't minimise to the system tray. Can anyone help me?

How do I set the visualisations to always appear. I know that you can right click and then choose a visualisation (gloom if it helps) but I alwas want a visualisation to appear when i play audio EDIT also when I got to preferences>audio>visualisations and set it to gloom and reset VLC always crashes...

??? I reset all of the preferences then changed them back and... Its fixed. The problem is solved (i hope and think) TY

I am running vist with Sp1 on it and vlc i and everytime i close vlc it says windows has a problem and is trying to find a solution It is an annoying bug but isn't major

Well da!! I just want to have visualisations during music but i dont want during vids. ALSO i don't want to have 2 disable the visualisation.

When I am playing an audio file there is no prob. But when I switch to a video file I either see
1)the visualisation
2)the video and the visualisation behind it.

Is there anyway to solve this problem short of disabling the visualisation??

Is there any way to use new (or different visualizations from the ones that come with VLC) / and download visualizations for VLC player?????? I've looked everywhere and found squat.

My Vlc player won't play wav files. Is any 1 else having this prob??
