Hi DK,

I appreciate the reply but a little too late. Instead I dumped the file into Suoer 8 (which is free and great) and converted it. Then burned it with no problem.

My stupid Windows media player and dvd maker won't recognize an avi file that plays on vlc That is because VLC uses its own decoders. For WMP and DVD maker you have to install the needed codecs. Thanks for the help. I was able to do what you said using VLC. Though i have another movie now that it wouldn't work with VLC. The convert chopped it from 800 Meg to 146 meg. No video nothing. Hi Again, Okay i converted it again with Super using "AutoMode" Preset profile to Autoencode into VCD (NTSC). Finally i was able to split and burn it to VCD. wow i thought this is great. Now i took the other video and tried the same thing. Which takes like 2 hours or more to convert it. No...

VLC player plays the file fine. But i want to burn it to vcd. Not watch it on computer. I am using Power2Go to burn and it will not recognize the file type.

I will check the Super conversion program again and try as you mentioned.
