ok i got it. sorry im new to this vista os and i have no clue where anything is anymore. it hidden in the C:\Users\QEDx55\AppData\Roaming\vlc\vlcrc file I put back my old file and everything works now.

where are the settings saved in vista? I have a vlcrc file i need to put there. thanks.

I spent a bit of time making the keyboard shortcuts just right in my vlc player. Is there a way i can save them and put them as settings on another computers vlc? thanks.

It used to work that where i would position the marker on the timeline the video will start playing there. Now when i move past a certain point in the mkv x264 video i get no video change and no audio. I can move the marker on the timeline back and get video. whats going on?

I would like it if I could step around the video keyframe by keyframe while paused and have the picture update. Also if I would be able to do jumps and have the picture update while the video is paused would be nice as well. Is this feature possible?
