Yes OK the 32x32px ones are OK - just when it gets the 16x16px it becomes a bit unclear.

I agree that decisions have to be taken by someone who will decide whether or not these icons will be used in VLC. We can keep changing things on our own, but, in the end, a VLC dev will probably decide about the incorporation of the icons. So let he/she speak up about what they want.. IMO, my icons...

That's good. Shall I do small resolution versions for Windows? I'd be good if you could provide the illustrator file.
At least for the 16x16 resolution a standalone icon needs to be made.

The file icon is a vector made in Illustrator, made by me, so everything is freely editable. The only thing that isn't a vector is the cone image.

Quicktime is one of the parts of OS X that has gotten a major overhaul in the new version of Mac OS (Snow Leopard), so I assume they've made new icons for it. Well, I always look at everything from the Mac side, and I've noticed Quicktime's icons have a transparent film reel. That's actually why I kept them transparent..

Imho, his cone has too much shade/gloss, I don't like the look. I prefer VLC's default cone, looks more realistic. Probably because its a 3D rendering if i'm not mistaken. @lopoz: So far I really like your icons, but not the colored versions. Maybe it's the colors you chose, to little saturation.
