Re: How can I set default audio device to stereo?

I'm uninstalling the new version and reverting back to v1.1.11. Nobody is willing to help, and frankly I prefer the older version - it doesn't mess with my system's audio settings and renders faster besides. I'm very thankful that the devs keep all the versions available for download, as each one be...

Re: How can I set default audio device to stereo?

Also, it may be worth noting that on my system version 1.1.11 of VLC Player does set the audio device to stereo by default. So the new version is behaving differently in this regard. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: How can I set default audio device to stereo?

Thanks for the quick response. As mentioned, I did verify that the sound card is set to stereo which it is. Now as you suggested, I went into the Windows control panel. The Windows audio settings also were already set to stereo. So, unless I am missing something, it looks like both my sound card and...

How can I set default audio device to stereo?

I am using VLC 2.0.4 on Windows XP and when playing a movie often times the audio comes in as 5.1. But I don't have a 5 channel speaker system so I want stereo. And it is tedious to have to change the setting in VLC every single time I watch such videos. Is there some way to make stereo the default?...

"Postby spodumene » Sat May 05, 2012 6:40 am I went in to the FTP archives and used the libaout_directx_plugin.dll from the 7z file, dropped it right in the plugins/audio_output folder for 2.0: ... This was the only thing that fixed it for me! Maybe this will help someone else too. There may b...

Re: Allociné (France)

Cool - thanks, solazy! Well I learned some things here. I guess Allociné must be the French equivalent of IMDb but not of much use to those of us who don't speak French. So I'm happy to have copied the IMDb script to my VLC profile. Maybe I'll find more lua scripts to add in the future, but then aga...

Re: Allociné (France)

Thanks, I feel better about that. But as far as I know the Allociné script was the only one included in the installation. I did not see any others in there. Perhaps you can understand how, considering I do not live in France and do not speak French, it was quite a shock to see some French-sounding m...

Re: Allociné (France)

But I like VLC. Very much. I was just hoping you might explain the reason why some third party app from some company I've never heard of is included in the installation?

Re: Allociné (France)

I saw this in my VLC player too. Why was this extension included by default in the first place? I never asked for it, and don't appreciate third-party code being loaded into my computer without my knowledge. I downloaded VLC Player because I really like it, but I never asked for some app from some F...

Re: .TP file minor bug

Have you tried the various deinterlace options? If you can post a screencap it might help. Also run GSpot and see what it says about the video. Have you had problems with any other .TP files in VLC?

Re: Insert VLC into php, html

I use flowplayer myself, http://flowplayer.org/
You'll need to upload the flv file and the flowplayer code (refer to their documentation) to your web site. If successful, you'll end up with a nice embedded video with youtube-like controls that can be played on any major browser.
