Re: Seamless playback

VLC_help unfortunately the option is not implanted in version 9.8a. Is there a period in which we can expect the option back? And is there a way to speed this a little bit up? For instance with a donation?

VLC_help: I don't understand completely what I can do with the e-mail. I don't have any idea where I can find this "vout recycle".

Seamless playback

I would really like to have seamless playback back in VLC (set topic on: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=50302&p=161349#p161349). So perhaps this is something for VLC version 1.0

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

The problem with previous versions is that the AVI files don't run perfect. After a while to start to jerk and skip frames. So I can't go back to these versions. I've tested very version from 0.6 up to the latest release of 8.6. They al have the same problem. Which is luckely solved in the new relea...

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

VLC_help that is realy nonsense. When you play a few AVI or MPEG files with version 0.8.6 it runs seamless. There is no going back to the background and also no freazing of the last frame. It just runs from on to the other file without going back to the background or destroying my DVDMax/Pure Video....

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

Well the playback of AVI files was alway seamless. Not even a split of a second buffering off the files, it just run from video 1 tot video 2 without any black between and most important without dropping of my Matrox DVDMax/Pure Video. Looks quite like seamless to me. But now it really loads the vid...

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

Erwan, that's not very nice! Ik really need the seamless playback, so hopefully they will put in a update of the VLC version 0.9. The "," doesn't seperate the AVI files, VLC thinks it's a part of the filename. The seamless playback was there with version 0.8.6, but the playback was horribl...

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

Erwan, I changed the script to: PATH=%PATH%;"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC" D: cd \Video vlc leader.avi :input-list="AW-promo.avi,test.avi" :meta-title=Video After playing the first AVI file, the Debugger of VLC tells me it can't find the file: AW-promo.avi,test.avi. So it doesn'...

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

Erwan, thanks for your input. I think that this is something that need to be programmed in a small software tool right and is not something that I just can type in the DOS command line? By the way I'm using Windows and AVI files no Linux and VOB files. Does this change the principal, or will it stil...

Re: VLC 0.9.2: Problems when playing multiple video files

Going back to version 0.8.6 is no option, because in that version (and every previous version) my video's don't run smooth. After a while they start to jerk. So changing the architectural and GUI have resulted in a much betere viewer, but I agree with Heinz that seamless playback is actualy a must f...

Re: 0.9.2 Test builds

The player runs perfect, with AVI files much beter than version 0.8! But unfortunately the video's don't play seamless anymore. Is this a option that can be brought back from the previous versions of VLC?

Re: 0.9 test builds

I've also tested the new build. It looks great by the way, but I discover 2 problems - In the previous versions I had large problems with playing AVI files. When I played serveral small AVI files from a playlist (let's say 3 or 4) and repeated this playlist, after a while the video's started to jerk...

Re: VLC tearing during DVD and AVI playback

I also tried to deactivate Triple Buffering and activate Triple Buffering and I've tried every option in the VLC player, but it unfortunately didn't solve my problem. I work with a Parhelia APVe card and this card doesn't support GDI output. Are there other options that I can try?
