Media Center?

I have a computer set up right now as a sorta media-center PC. It's an older machine, and was just kinda thrown together so I could watch videos and stuff on my HDTV in the family room... It works for what it is, but in addition to being too slow to do some stuff well (play hd video, etc), one of my...

VLC for Mobile Devices? (Android)

Hello,

Is it possible to port VLC to mobile devices, specifically Android? It's a linux-based mobile OS, and I'd love to be able to throw VLC on it!

Re: Stop VLC from resizing window?

I had looked at that. -1 seems to resize the window to whatever height the new video is at. 0 seems to do the same thing. Positive numbers force the window to be a specific size. I've not been able to figure out how to make it not resize at all (aka leave the window size alone, and scale the video t...

Re: Stop VLC from resizing window?

Stop VLC from resizing window?

Hello, Is there a way to set up VLC to scale the video to the current window size instead of resetting to 1:1? I looked all over the place, and can't figure it out. If it helps, I'm currently running 0.9.6. For instance. I play FILEA.AVI. It's a 352x240 video, but I want it bigger, so I drag the bot...

Re: Default Aspect Ratio in FullScreen

Preferences -> video -> advanced will let you choose the options you want/need.
I'm not seeing it. That's ok, though. The Video Cropping setting is good enough for now.

Re: Default Aspect Ratio in FullScreen

I looked again, and the only thing I could find was under Video->Video Cropping. I changed it to 16:10, and it did force the 16:10 as the default aspect ratio. The only thing about that is that it changes it in windowed mode as well. I was more thinking to keep the default (whatever the video is) in...

Re: Default Aspect Ratio in FullScreen

Why don't You set it in the preferences?
I could not find it. Actually, I like to think I'm pretty technical, but I can't make heads or tails of a lot of what's in the preferences screens.

I will look again.

Fullscreen On-Screen Controls

Hello, One feature that would be nice is a seek bar, pause/play, fast forward, rewind, volume controls, etc in full screen mode when I move my mouse. The seek bar is the part that I'm most interested in. I know that I can use the hotkey "i" to bring up the interface and do it that way, but...

Default Aspect Ratio in FullScreen

Hello, I use VLC on a few different computers. One of them is connected to my HDTV through the VGA port. The TV itself is a 16:9 widescreen. It's used pretty much exclusively as a sort-of Media Center PC. Because of what it is, videos are almost always run full screen. One thing that I would like to...
