what is the status of this bug?

Just tested on the newest version last night (.9.8a) and it is still broken.

I just installed a Chaintech AV-710 (VIA Envy24) and Im still getting the stuttering audio, so its not limited to just the Realtek audio.

Yes I did try waveout with the .9 beta build.

Im getting very choppy stuttering DTS/DD audio over SPDIF using the latest stable build. Also I noticed that the volume which was previously at a normal level flashes between mute and low volume on the player during this.
