MBAFF interlace support

So, the BBC HD trial is using H.264 encoding and is aparantly MBAFF interlaced. It seems that only MainConcept / Elecard and Cyberlink AVC decoders work at the moment. VLC doesnt which leaves me unable to view them on a mac. Would be great to see some of the Planet Earth series!

You can enable it in the video-section of the preferences. You need to check the "advanced"-flag at the bottom to show the option (which is called "Video output module"). I have tried that, but enabling it in preferences doesnt seem to work. Either way version 0.8.0 plays the HD...

thanx so much for the vbrick support :) I was wondering however if anyone can tell me what is funny about vbrick mpeg-2. I have some files recorded on a vbrick VBstar, play fine in vlc (including version 0.7) but wont play in quicktime (with the mpeg-2 playback codec installed). Many thanks

Scripting VLC on mac OSX????

Hi, I am trying to save two streams simultaneously to disk (do not need to see the streams, just record them). I have managed to do this by having two sessions of VLC running (one named VLC copy). I want to script these however so that I can run a script that will open the stream and begin recording...

OK, thanks to this informative forum I have downloaded version 7 and I can now see and download the stream. Only issue is that the stream progress slider stops at 27 seconds, as does the recorded stream. Continues to be displayed on screen. at 27 seconds half the video goes white which seems to conf...
