Re: Lost VLC folder contents after restoring from local iTunes backup

I'm not sure how to do that. An alert once you synchronise the first file will be clicked away and forgotten.
Agree.
Is it worth turning the option on by default?

Re: Lost VLC folder contents after restoring from local iTunes backup

Yes, with this option on, iTunes will backup the contents of VLC locally.
Got it.
However it makes sense to somehow warn and remind users that the backup option is turned off.

Re: Lost VLC folder contents after restoring from local iTunes backup

No, your content is not backed-up by default as for iOS, there is no way to tell if you back up to iCloud or iTunes. As most users have the default 5GB of iCloud storage, VLC would easily exceed that, so the option is off by default. Got it. If I turn the option on, then will a local iTunes backup ...

Lost VLC folder contents after restoring from local iTunes backup

Greetings! I made a local iTunes backup of my iPhone, but didn't know that the "Include the media library in device backup" was (for some unknown weird reason) turned off by default: https://cloud.screenpresso.com/3G3Md/Screenshot%202024-08-24%20at%2012.05.10.jpeg.png Then I cleared the iP...

Adding media files to playlist via cmd using wildcards

Greetings!

I use VLC 3.0.11 for Windows x64 and want to add media files to a new playlist via cmd using wildcards. For example:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" ??? "*.ts"
What should I use instead of ??? ?

Thank you

Re: Disable "Crash Report" Popup

I noticed that the VLC 3.0.6 creates a DMP file at the %appdata%\vlc\crashdump after a normal exit.
This behavior in turn causes the popup, as the %appdata%\vlc\crashdump is not empty at the next start.

What is a root cause for the behavior?
How to stop it?

Please take my version of the script and use it on demand: @echo off setlocal enabledelayedexpansion :: Batch DVD to MP3 ripper. The script uses VLC :: :: cls rem echo %0&pause path=%CD%;%path% set "LogFile=%~n0" :: The same name as script itself if exist "%LogFile%" del /q &...
