Re: UDP TS MUX ?

Hi Skinnersplace (and others) Did you end up having any luck with this? I'm trying to do something very similar (I think). I have 2 dvb-t cards and want to stream a bunch of channels from one frequency on one card, and some more channels on a different frequency on the other card. I can do this with...

Re: DVB-H

By doing a dvbsnoop of the IP/MAC Notification Table (INT) [EN 301 192] I get this, which shows an IPv4 address DSM_CC-INT-UNT-DescriptorTag: 15 (0x0f) [= target_IP_slash_descriptor] descriptor_length: 5 (0x05) IPv4_addr: 4022531536 (0xefc2f5d0) IPv4_slash_mask: 32 (0x20) [= 239.194.245.208/32]

Re: DVB-H

I thought by the following statement it made, vlc could do it. After that you can just open the video using vlc (->www.videolan.org) that has SDP support (see ): vlc orf1.sdp I still can't get past the dvbnet bit, because even though it sets up the network device, I can't bring the interface up. roo...

Re: DVB-H

I just ran that page through the google translator. It gave me an idea of some of the words, but really was only good for a laugh

Re: DVB-H

That's for that. The Finnish doesn't help me much, but I guess I can try and play around with the commands that I see. Making the channels.conf was much the same as for dvb-t so that part wasn't a problem I only notived the term 'vlc' written once on that page, so I'm assuming this is a generic back...

DVB-H

Would it be possible to use VLC to place DVB-H streams via the DVB-T device? (theoretically it should)
I can scan the DVB-H for the channels.conf using 'scan' as usual, and the codec is h.264 but implemented as bursts of data.
Hopefully this can be done sometime in the future :-)

Re: TCP streaming?

Don't forget that TCP has more overhead for error checking/packet resending.

DVB-T (h.264) viewing and transcoding issues

Here in Poland the DVB-T transmissions are h.264. I have VLC serving the tv stations very well, but there are 2 problems. 1. When using VLC as a client (Windows or Linux) there is blockyness on moving parts one some of the channels. I've heard things about paff and b frames being talked about, but c...
