Re: cannot delete a transcoded file

Vista stikes again - Windows 7 has more surprises up its sleeve. All our 237 computers have been "upgraded" to XP Pro from Vista. Back to topic.... Firstly do you have Windows Commander? Assuming you have, locate the file within that and delete from there. Works every time. There are some ...

Re: VEOH

I have just recieved this open letter: I have been approached by VEOH to advertise on thier site. My reply to them was that I do not deal with companies that betray thier subscribers, however small they may be, in order to "focus on the greater market". As an American, I wish to extend my ...

VEOH

Due to the classic example of the worst case of customer relations, VEOH.com has decided to ban 165 countries from accessing thier site, effectively isolating over 80% of thier community. They did so unilaterally, without prior notice nor with any apology. Below is an open letter I've been asked to ...

Re: VLC media player and Windows Vista

I have the same woes, but other programs using Vista Pro have similar problems (AutoCad, Revit...) In the end my company (128 computers) "upgraded" to XP Pro, then all problems vanished completely. The problem seems to be that the Gates mafia use the customer to test thier de facto beta pr...

Version 0.9.0?

Some of the skins state "Version 0.9.0 or newer"
Can someone give me the URL of the timewarp to upgrade to this.
It shows up too many times for it to be a typing error.

BTW: my company now uses VLC exclusively (122 users, O/S Windows & Linux)

Re: Jp os but want english only in vlc

I had the devil's own job finding it also. 1... SETTINGS (3rd line from the left) 2... Ctrl+S - this activates the Preferences. 3... Select INTERFACE (Bottom option) 4... "Language" appears on the right side of the control panel - scroll down and select to the one you want then hit "S...

Re: Problems with subtitles

The subtitles work well if the video is in mpg format, but with other formats (avi, wmv) there is a problem.

Re: Ability to Fix Window Size

This would be a very good feature. Already after starting vlc the window is crippled. The last menu item "Hilfe" (german version) is not in the same line of menu bar but in the next line. I use vlc for a long time. The only thing annoying me is the permanent downsizing to the smallest pos...

Languages option

VLC adopts the language protocol of the computer as its' default, but has no means of changing to another. Mine is in Czech (which is OK for me) although other users of my computer need either English, French, German, Polish, Japanese or Korean to be able to work "full throttle". English i...

Re: Can not open the vlc-0.8.6f download

Thank you, it worked.
Had the same problem, but used a bigger hammer. Works fine now, but STILL can't change the language.
Will version "g" fix that?

Re: I want it in french!

I have the same problem, but in reverse. I installed VLC on a Czech Language computer that is meant for an Anglophone user, but there seems to be no way of changing languages, and seems tied to the language protocol of the OS. Can anyone help on this, or can it be embodied in versio "g"? B...
