no i am not playing .png . i checked all of the files and they are all .avi . i dont know why it would come up .png . this is over a network like i stated above. thanks

sorry to drag this back up. i have a similar setup as described above and i have tried the INPUTS / CODECS -> ACCESS MODULES -> FILES method and increased to 5000ms but vlc still hangs. pretty consistently it tends to completely stop/freeze around 30min in. vlc stops loading the video entirely, beco...
