The simplest way is to isolate track/video to another folder. This works for me.

Nothing, just quick open file from the menu and then files of type is in a default All Files (*).

I' now using version 0.9.9, I just want to know how to open all files in files of type in default command. Previous version has the capability to open all files in files of type. How do I execute this command without passing the filter? Thanks!

Actually this is not a movie. It is video karaoke file with the duration of 4:19 minutes. Anyhow I'll try to upload it. Thanks for your reply.
I tried to open FTP sample server to upload the file but there's no option to send the file. Please give the procedure to upload it.

Yes, it does not have audio as well in nightlies VLC 0.9.0 win32. I wonder why?

VLC can't use external codecs. Only ones that came with VLC. You can use tool called Mediainfo to check what codecs the AVI uses. I am guessing that you have downloaded fake/corrupted file.

I tried to use Mediainfo but there's no codec information only the extension avi.

I'm using VLC 0.8.6i to play a certain movie Dirty Dozen but it says unrecognized format. The extension is avi. What codec shall I download and install in my PC. Thanks.

Retain subtitle

I downloaded a movie which has existing subtitle. If I play it with VLC, the subtitle is visible. How can I convert this movie to VOB/DVD without losing the subtitle? Please give me some advice. Thanks!

--sout-mono-channel=0
that should keep just the left channel
How do I do it by using this command? --sout-mono-channel=0 Will be more specific?
