Why is VLC using an expired key for the 'VideoLAN Release Signing Key?'

Where can we find the unexpired gpg/pgp "VideoLAN Release Signing Key" public key?

Where can we find the pgp public key for verifying VLC binary releases?
The public keys at: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/keys/ all seem to be deprecated.

There does not seem to be a GPG signature available for the macOS version of VLC 2.2.6.
