Not that anyone uses Win98x anymore, nevertheless important to note: All previous versions worked just fine! on Win98x, however as of this latest version vlc-0.8.6e-win32 will not work on Win98x anymore so maybe that should be noted somewhere - that functionality on Win98x ceases to exist with this ...
