Many people suggested me to use the configuration setting of vlc. For example for windows C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\vlc\vlcrc. However, I have noticed that copying and pasting configuration doesn't work sometimes. So I don't support this method as Sureshot for saving vlc settings.
