I wanted to be sure you have been noticed that the sentences "Fixes for these issues are available in VLC 0.9. We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version." was confusing without a link to this version.

I think you should update the main page of the site, either the latest news or the link to download a fresh version of vlc On the left of the home page: => Latest news invites us to update vlc to 0.9 because of some bad evil bugs... • Seeking with some FLAC files cause VLC to crash abruptly.
