Audio Problems with ASUS 1734 TV Card

Hi Forum! i've a ASUS 1734 TV card, but can't get the audio to work. The picture is great, and audio can be retrieved using a line in cable to my sound card. However, the card is capable of streaming the sound directly over the PCI bus, which is much better quality than the cable solution. What sett...

general comments on extending the scripts with new functions

So, if new functions are needed, try to add the parameters and run it from the commandline. if the resu...

i am currently thinking of writing a java-application containing a small webserver and providing these web-pages, so there is no need for a webserver and php anymore. with a small java-frontend for configuration. this should be no big deal. what do you think of this idea? when using java, it will al...

this should be no big deal. a co-worker of mine is currently extending the scripts, so it will be working with the dreambox as well. i'll put your idea on the todo-list for the next release.

do you think i'll create an opensource project e.g. at sourceforge?

which protocol do you use? i recommend udp, since it seems to be the most stable protocol, when you are facing temporarily disconnections or packets get lost.

vlc does not find its plugins

hi! i have a big problem with all versions since 0.8.2 (including nightly builds, windows) vlc cannot find "some" plugins, in especially the mpg-encoders (mp1, mp2, mp4 - only video). in some (sub)versions it does not even find the div1, div2, div3 encoders. i do not install vlc, but unzip...

no, never had this problem. probably mms needs more cpu-time and your server is too slow? i did not face this problem yet.

what client did you use? VLC?
what version of VLC do you have on the server?

i had the same problem, but this is due to udp. does your router NAT (then it cannot work). if you have server behind (e.g. the computer, where VLC runs), create an incoming connection to establish a VPN, and through a VPN it will work. greetings Thomas ps: the other way probably would be to stream ...

have a look at http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=7065 . i made a web-based streaming server. it's for windows, but with some easy adaptions in the php-scripts, it will run on linux, too. I think the adaptions do not need more than 3-5 minutes, and comprise only the paths, and the commands fo...

Streaming to 3G phones

you are right, this would be the next step. as streaming to other pc is already realized, this will not be very difficult, I think. the channel change and start/stop using wap is surely easy to implement. but the problem is, that I do not own a 3G phone, and I do not know, which streaming format the...
