Video Teleconference (VTC) and VLC

we need to record VTCs from Polycom equipment. Polycom says they can output h.264 which should be a problem, but the older VTC equipment uses H.323. Has anyone ever worked with h.323 streams or know of a product that can convert h.323 to a network stream that is usable by VLC?

Thanks.

Mac OSX crashes consistantly - reproducable

I had reported earlier about problems with the video in the MAC OSX version. I decided to uninstall the VLC player and reload the distribution build from VideoLan. I am running 10.3.7 with 512MB on VLC 0.8.1. If it matters i am running quicktime 6.5.2. Open an MPEG1 or MPEG2 file using File>open. Th...

I wish hat was the only problem. We have a capture card that outputs an MPEG-4 stream that can be received using RTSP. In the Quicktime player it works great. In VLC you get the same error that you saw with the WMV file. That was just for an example. I am doing no transcoding. Just selecting Play lo...

video overlays would be great

we use vlc for recording incoming networkm streams from surveillance cameras. as the stream comes in, it is written to disk. It would be great if VideoLan supported video overlays so we could specify say the data, time, timecode and some text over the video while it is being recorded to disk. If som...

both

It doesn't matter. The picture is of a Windows media file being played locally. But it also causes the same problem with multicasts and other network streams.

Yes I understand the license, and anything that is made at the expense of the government is Public Domain. Believe me, we have built some neat things in the past and solved some difficult problems that now belong to everyone. We have actually developed two XML protocols for medical transactions. Our...

Need VLC developers!!! Could be you!

Hi all, We are in the process of developing a product for the US federal government and our timeline is very SHORT! this is a crisis schedule for military operations and some law enforcement work. We are having some configuration and development problems with VLC. Seems the VLC MAC keeps crashing an...
