If you don't need the interface (I mean, you just want the video), you can use "vlc --intf=dummy".

However, if you do need the interface, use "vlc --no-embedded-video".

The Extended GUI is accessible via Settings -> Extended GUI.
The Video filters options are then displayed on the right pane.
If you don't see them, maybe you have got an old version of VLC media player?

When you click File > Open, there's supposed to be a little checkbox that says "advanced output" When i upgraded, it wasn't there anymore. Has it been moved? any other ideas? Try this: - check "Stream/Save" in the "Advanced options" area of the "File -> Open"...

All recent nightly builds for Win32 crash as soon as I switch to the "Skins 2" interface!
How do you "switch to the Skins2 interface"?
