can't play dvds

I'm using VLC X64 and some of my DVDs won't work. I tried opening up the disc directly or thru the VIDEO_TS folder. I get the following error:

File reading failed:
VLC could not read the file (Bad file descriptor).

this only happens with dvds I purchased recently

Re: VLC 0.9.9 crash with .xspf playlist

megaman951: you get crash if you open xspf playlist via command-line?

Code: Select all

vlc.exe c:\something\mylist.xspf
yeah it still crashes if I load the playlist from command line

Re: VLC 0.9.9 crash with .xspf playlist

I have the exact same problems. Clicking on a .xspf crashes vlc and if I load a xspf from playlist --> load playlist file, the video filenames don't show, only the duration. I'm using winxp pro SP3

yuv hardware overlay directX input

I'm watching a mkv with dual video and seems vlc displays the second video in a popup window "yuv hardware overlay directX input". Is there a way to disable this ?
