Re: Streaming help needed

OYE!! hehe.
I'll take a look at that. I've dropped the stream to 256kb and resized to .5 normal. I also set the webpage to be 1/2 the size it was before.
Thanks again for helping out.

Re: Streaming help needed

Thanks for the info Chris. I've put the external ip back in the MRL so if you could try it again I'd appreciate it.
Also, where do I use the code snippets you're posting? I've been using the interface by using Open->File->Stream/Save->Settings, etc., etc.

Thanks again,
Jeff

Re: VLC not reading .avi properly

Thanks for that last bit VLChelp. That did the trick. Must be related to the video card somehow. It's onboard so maybe it's just not quite up to par.

Re: Streaming help needed

Ok, I've put off the live video for now. I think the cap card may be bad as it sometimes 'disappears' from the computer. I had to shut down, remove, restart, shut down reseat card and restart to find it again. On to the next issue: I got a video (.avi) to stream successfully over my LAN but Internet...

Re: How do you make the default play window larger?

You might try a different skin. Some of them are smaller than the default skin so I imagine some will be larger.

Re: VLC not reading .avi properly

Hi all, I have the same issue with distorted avi files. I reset the default settings and disable the overlay with some success. The green wavy lines are gone but now the video appears 4 times left to right in the player. It's like the player is divided into 4 panes each playing the same video. I too...

Re: Streaming help needed

Thanks for the reply. Testing Machine: Sapphire Theatrix 550 Pro capture card (Older I know but it's the only one I could find around the shop). WinXP Pro SP2 1 G Ram Sony HandyCam (in the S-Video input) I just saw a blurb that the only cards that work are the Haupaug and one other. Is this still th...

Streaming help needed

Hi all, I've searched a while but haven't seen quite the same problem. I got VLC to see my capture card and I can capture video from my camcorder with other programs (PowerCinema 3, Win Movie Maker) but when I try to stream the video (or just view it) in VLC all I get is a snowy screen with snow lin...
