Draging volume outside the bar is normal. Why so ? Because it consider that if you drag the slider and keep it drag away, this is because you didn't want it. Ok, I see your point. That's probably an XP problem, because in Windows 2000 it's displayed in a solid block.

I really don't care if it is an XP problem. There is really no good reason to use progress bar to change volume. Newest volume bar is better but it too has major flaws (e.g. draging volume outside the bar).
