Re: FIXED:No Audio after Video Conversion

THE FIX: This is a common problem that can be solved by ensuring that the conversion audio bitrates matches.

Unfortunately this did not help, same bitrate and still no audio track at all within the converted file.

Re: How to force stereo downmix to dual mono in 2.1

The title of this topic should include "Stereo downmix" to clarify what the OP is asking. What the OP is trying to do can be achieved via VLC's (using version 2.2.4) prefs: Open prefs, make sure the Settings Mode is All and not Simple. Next, navigate to: Audio->Output modules->DirectX->Spe...

Re: Why was VLC removed from Apple App Store

I notice the recent VLC Streamer update notes "At the request of Dolby, the built-in vlc player no longer supports Dolby audio codecs". I wonder if there's a licensing issue here that caused the player app to be pulled from the App Store?

Re: VLC tearing during DVD and AVI playback

I just wanted to share how I solved this issue. I was also seeing awful vsync tearing on videos, especially when the camera pans or zooms. I have an nVidia 8600GS. In the nVidia Control Panel I went to 3D Settings->Manage 3D Settings->Program Settings . In step 1 I added vlc.exe as a program to cust...

Re: Full Screen Problem - Huge Square Pixels

Just to add that Overlay must be enabled for proper image interpolation here. Also, the OpenGL video output module will interpolate either with or without Overlay enabled. I'm not sure how these various settings affect interpolation or how dependent it is on your hardware, but as I mentioned I am us...

Re: Full Screen Problem - Huge Square Pixels

I just wanted to mention that having installed VLC on my new PC with an nVidia 8600 GS and Vista, I noticed none of the video clips were being interpolated when changed to fullscreen mode ie. the image looked very mosaic like. Changing the Video Output Module from Default to DirectX Video Output sol...

Re: Support for HD-DVD and BlueRay disc movies

Damn, what a shame. I do have PowerDVD bundled with my PC (as much as I loath it) and I suppose I could purchase AnyDVD to get around the lack of HDCP support in my monitor (as much as I loath HDCP even further), but I would much prefer VLC. :D Oh well, guess I will just have to be patient.

Re: Support for HD-DVD and BlueRay disc movies

Is there any update on when/if VLC will play back HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs?

Ta.
