1.1.4 Crashes on EVERYTHING

I'm trying to watch a video stream...and ANYTHING crashes VLC 1.1.4

Stopping the stream, VLC closes, changing streaming links (as the stream uses multiple servers) crashes it, saving settings int he options crashes it.

What gives?

Re: DVD Video_TS and ISO files still not working as of 1.1.3

OK Got the command line thing for "--codec libmpeg2" working.... and it does work now to show the menu.... But it causes a more serious problem... as in the video doesn't play..and VLC starts taking up to 99% of my CPU runtime! My CPU in use fluctuates between a 60 to 70% work load as well,...

Re: DVD Video_TS and ISO files still not working as of 1.1.3

1.1.4-git doesn't work either returns this error in the message console main error: picture to display 01979510 has invalid status 2 I like using VLC to test DVDs that I make before I burn them, so this is really quite annoying that I can't see main menu's. Sub menu's acctually work like they are su...

DVD Video_TS and ISO files still not working as of 1.1.3

OK I posted this on the windows board, and I figured I'd move it here considering the fact that 1.1.3 is out and it's not working there as well. Any time I try playing a VIDEO_TS folder, or a DVD ISO file the menu of the DVD doesn't work http://yfrog.com/9fvlcdvdproblemp <- Taken with VLC 1.1.0 http...

Re: VLC 1.1 not playing DVD's properly

Is anyone else able to replicate the problem at hand or know how to fix it somewhat?

Sorry for the late reply or ignoring it. I was away for a while and had no internet access.

Re: VLC 1.1 not playing DVD's properly

Here's a copy of one of the dvd's I tested with VLC 1.1.0. All the VOB files have been removed to get it down to a respectable size (About 60 some MB) It's not the same file as the one in the screenshots, but it's one I tested and it did show the same error of a green screen when the disk is first l...

Re: VLC 1.1 not playing DVD's properly

I just did JB. Those are screen shots of VLC 1.1.0 (the green screen) and 1.0.5 (the menu shown as normal) respectively. Both are reading the same DVD ISO file (though not at the same time. 1.1.0 was uninstalled and 1.0.5 was installed again). The only thing that has been altered in both shots is th...

VLC 1.1 not playing DVD's properly

OK I"m running VLC 1.1 now and when I try running a DVD Folder (the VIDEO_TS folder) or a *.ISO of a disc, the opening menu doesn't work, I can see the highlighting and I can play things from the menu. But if I go back to the menu, it will show a freeze frame from the video I just played instea...

VLC 1.0.5 no longer playing streaming video

ok I'm trying to get an RTSP stream to work on VLC. But for some reason recently, the stream has only been connecting for about a second, playing 1 second's worth of audio and then the video played somewhat jittery with no audio. I think this might be a server related issue becuse before I was able ...

Menu and Chapter Buttons

How do I get the menu and chapter buttons to go back to the 2 line format? Cause in my last posting http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=62070&p=209008&hilit=namrepus221#p209008 I mentioned that the video was resizing at random intervals. And I've found that the reason is becau...

What kind of program are you using to do the conversion?

Cause that might be inserting the logo.

Re: VLC 1.0.0 randomly resizing on video

The videos I'm watching have no commercial breaks. If I resize the video, then fastforward or reverse using the slider bar, it instantly resizes the window. Also the volume controls, and several of the buttons begin squishing into themselves. I have noticed the Menu and chapter selection buttons app...

Re: VLC 1.0.0 randomly resizing on video

Nope. The blackbars are not hardcoded into the video itself. Here's a snapshot of VLC and Quicktime playing the same file. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to take a snapshot of what VLC is playing. but you'll have to take my word for it that the video is in the direct middle of the VLC window. ...

VLC 1.0.0 randomly resizing on video

I'm trying to watch a video in VLC. Now VLC is set up to show it in a 16:9 kinda video format with these black bars on the side. I resize the video so it's a square. And a few seconds later, it resizes itself back to the 16:9 window size. How do I stop this from happening? I have the "Scale&quo...

Re: 0.9.5 for Windows

Because they don't have anyone working on the windows version full time.

We'll get it eventually or they'll skip it like they did 0.9.3 and we'll get a binary version of 0.9.6 soon.

Space no longer works correctly

OK 3 problems. 1. Every so often when I try to use space to play/pause a video or music file...it slows the file down like the "-" is supposed to do. I can "fix" this by going into the preferences and resetting it to be Play/Pause, even though it's already listed as being Play/Pa...
