With a little experimentation I've found that it is possible to mount a firewire device (the test was with a Canon GL1 camcorder) and stream the video feed directly from the camera through VLS.... Does anyone know of a tv tuner designed to work with apple hardware that would work under PPC linux? Or would I be better off waiting for the PPC side of the development to support tuners under OS X more thoroughly? I'd really prefer to run the Apple hardware I've already got, so if someone can just...

this is a little bit OT, but where might I find an Amino STB to purchase? I'm in the US and can't seem to find anyone who might sell them over here.

just curious, but are there any plans for a timer record function to be built into VLC?
