Not playing the PCM sound from a 1080-50p AVCHD file

Vlc Player (2.1.3 Rincewind) doesn't detect the audio stream in a .mts-file containing AVC video & PCM audio. A similar problem was posted about a year ago with version 2.0.6: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=110400&p=374345&hilit=50p#p374345 It's a file recorded on th...

Re: Bug: framerate got converted to 60Hz and to be run on @

I'm being annoyed by this for a month now, no reaction... can anyone tell me this bug is noticed, and if there are any plans in fixing it??? Using DirectX instead of Direct3D switches desktop colors and layout in windows 7... I know most users ignore this and just play 24p footage on a TV running at...

Bug: incorrect framerate shown for 24fps footage

VLC's codec information shows 24.000384fps for 24.00000000fps footage (real 24p video, not the 24/1.001fps aka 23.976fps) It should just show 24fps, which made rise to a lot of confusion among users thinking there's something wrong with their footage... (or thinking a Nikon D90 shoots at a 'strange'...

Re: Problems syncing video to 2nd display in Direct3D mode

Anyone can help me here?

Is it possible? Or is this a bug in VLC??

Bug: framerate converted to 60Hz for playback @ 24Hz display

conversion to DV-codec

I wonder, why can't VLC Media player not convert to the DV-codec? For the moment I don't know any (decent) program being able to convert to DV-PAL or DV-NTSC. For low spec-systems this is still one of the best choices for NLE-editing... (in Standard Definition). Is there any reason why it isn't impl...

Playback screwed up on a certain .ogg file.

Hello, I have an audio recording online, but recently I tried to listen to it with the newest VLC Player 1.1.1. The audio hangs and pitches up and down. (Never heard anything like that before) I downloaded Foobar2000 to test if it had the same, but it played correct. The file is here: http://home.de...

Re: Suggestion: Change resolution to video dimension

Because the image is sharper when the resolution of the movie and the screen match with each other. that is with a crt screen. Those LCD things only have one resolution, so resampling to this resolution is the only solution. A (PAL) DVD is 720x576, when playing a DVD I change my resolution to either...

Suggestion: Change resolution to video dimension

Hello, It should be good if VLC could change the screen resolution to the same resolution as the media it plays in full screen. For some resolutions it would be better to use double resolution I think. For non-4:3 movies (considering your computer screen is 4:3) the resolution should ofcourse be cha...
