Re: Invalid subtitle stream id

Need to stay at dvd spec have no reason to convert anything to mkv. TsMuxer does work but not with these subs, best if ffmpeg is fixed easier that way.

Did you yet, pass this all over to ffmpeg team !

Re: Invalid subtitle stream id

So far vlc is the best to play these files for a long time. I noticed this first as vlc couldn't convert them, then ffmpeg alone couldn't afterwards neither could many other softwares including avanti (ffmpeg gui). Projectx i know can demux them, to sup and it's idx file. From there No software so f...

Re: Invalid subtitle stream id

You have now the original file, avanti preset and ffmpeg versions. You also now can do the same test to get the avanti output file as i had done. You need an avanti converted file that i have done !! Don't quite understand why, since you now have all test files to do the same avanti output i have. T...

VLC with Mediacoder [a few Q's for U's]

Hi just a few Q's. 1. When using with mediacoder is there a direct command to use with mediacoder. So that i can get it to speed up transcoding faster than real time play. Like as is done when converting vlc on it's own. 2. Subtitles don't get passed through. But as normal when use vlc i have to ena...

Re: Help: xvid file convert / save option (where is it) ?

I don't agree, i have tried h264 on various pc setups and not one plays as steady as xvid is able to be played. So infact many people cannot use h264 with a pc upgrade which includes a new graphics card. My max pc is 2.8ghz dual core, and still that isn't enough. Xvid is a clear all rounder runs on ...

Re: Help: xvid file convert / save option (where is it) ?

Because i see some other softwares use ffmpeg that are able to transcode/encode to xvid from different formats. VLC uses ffmpeg why isn't xvid transcode/encode available for use ? Are there immeadiate plans to make it available, xvid is widely used by many. More than you could ever imagine, so you w...

Help: xvid file convert / save option (where is it) ?

Where is xvid option select on [convert / save] options, tick boxes or drop boxes ?

I have xvid directx encode and decode codecs installed, if that helps.

But cannot find xvid in the [convert / save] section of vlc. Where is it - or how to enable it ?

I need to make the widescreen ones to 16:9 for dvd authoring compatibilty. Having recorded main episodes at 720x576 or 704x576, i did miss...
