Re: Jerky or slow motion video in Real Video codec

unfortunetely the issue https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/issue814 (choppy playback of rv30 and rv40 video) has been removed from FFmeg bug tracking system. the closest I found is this https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/364 (Workaround for RV40 timestamps) the video sample provided with the VLC ticket (https:/...

There is a misunderstanding, the code does not do it yet. Sorry.

is there a feature request in the trac system so we can trace this feature ?

Re: Support for Color profiles

I think there is a misunderstanding, this code is only about the YUV->RGB conversion nothing about color profile.

I made some test using directX and OpenGL, i don't see any difference in color although i have an ICC profile set up.

Hi,

this bug is still current in 2.0.2 version.
For instance on Freebox, looking at a channel with teletext subtitle, the image instant freeze each time a subtitle is displayed.

Re: Support for Color profiles

One video filter would be enough if you use VOUT that doesn't do any color changes. yes, but it is precisely why a feature request is needed :) sending straight away RGB value to the video output is not the right thing to do regarding to color management. you have to take into account whether or no...

Re: Support for Color profiles

bump to not loose the info Ycms is a great initiative, it works with Madvr which is a wonderful render, unfortunetly, as seen here http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=79902&p=265811&hilit=madvr#p265811 it is very unlikey that we see a support for MaDVR in VLC. nevertheless, ma...

Re: 120hz frame emulation

I am still not convinced there is any perceivable difference between the 30fps and the 60fps stream, although the human eye is reported meant to be able to detect up to ~60fps (15+fps is where things appear to be fluid). The best way to compare the two would be to ABX them (an audio listening test ...

Re: 120 FPS on a 720P broadcast

Yep, file a bug on trac. Jb : I read your request for a sample file on the ticket, but the size limit is far too low (256 kb for video file is too low) I don't have a sample that little the best I have is 1.5 Mb. maybe it would be a good idea to put this size up for the bug tracker of a video player.

Or wrong info in the file. Does it help if you remux the file?
I've noticed that on transport Stream from the Freebox TV, the info in the stream is correct, but VLC shows 50 fps where it is actually 25 fps.

Re: 120 FPS on a 720P broadcast

Hello I have a FOX broadcast which is in its original broadcast form and VLC said its frame rate was 120 (119.880119). As we all know FOX broadcasts in 720p. On the other hand, NBC broadcasts at 1080i and VLC says it frame rate is 60 (59.940059). The ATSC standard didn't say anywhere that 720p can ...

I'll try to post a sample on a website, (the original is 800 Mo) but I'm not really aware of this kind of manipulation, could you advise me a software in order to cut a portion of a MkV video file ? Well in fact you could try this and in this order: First remux your file with this version of MKVToo...
