Any sort of time estimate on the EAC3 support for VLC. It's been available for a while now at least as a patch for FFmpeg.

Ok this is the third topic today on pretty much the same issue. MKV (large ones, 1080p), VLC and Leopard. There's something somewhere eating up resources and the playback is impossible. Yeah I've got that same bug too.. That's if VLC cares to play the large MKV at all

For one thing.. VLC is not even using half my CPU power. When it is usings all it get's it tops out at 50%.. meaning VLC has no idea there's one more core available. Btw.. the processing power definately is not the problem. VLC just isn't doing what it's supposed to.. Or some changes Apple made to L...

Well.. I've got pretty much the same problem with 1080p MKV files.. Thing is I've got a 2Ghz Core Duo MBP and on tiger VLC had no problem with these files. Now after switching to Leopard I can't play those large MKV's all that well :shock: . And a quick test of 0.8.6d update didn't seem to help at a...
