Preferences is found in VLC menu > Preferences. Alternatively, you can invoke the key combination of command + comma (command,) to open it.

Re: What happened to the audio files?

Hi Firstly, I thought I had installed VLC on my mac but realise now (having searched this forum) that I was using it from the disk image. If I brought audio files into VLC will they therefore have simply deleted when I closed the program and then closed down my computer? If you were running VLC fro...

For your second issue, Preferences>Show All>Interfaces>Main interfaces>macosx>Pause iTunes during VLC playback might address that.

Re: Randomly No Audio On Launch

Version 2.0.8 was announced today, and the main feature is: Following the numerous issues on the audio side of VLC 2.0, the audio core has been mostly rewritten, including a rewrite of most audio output modules, and of many audio filters. Re: Upon update to ver 2.04, lost entire Media Library

Can you tell me what location the VLC Media Library should be stored on a Mac platform?
It's in {YOUR HOME DIRECTORY}/Library/Application Support/org.videolan.vlc

You'll need to hold down option as you click on the Go menu in Finder to reveal Library.

Re: VLC won't launch

You could have a corrupted preferences file. You did not mention that you removed VLC preferences, so please do that by quitting VLC, downloading the .dmg, mounting it, going into the Goodies folder and running Delete VLC Preferences (it's an Applescript that will place the VLC prefs file into the t...

Re: No playback control VLC 2.0

What exactly do you mean? Do the Stop, Play, Pause, etc buttons not work when pressed? Or do they not appear on the interface? Do the keyboard buttons work?

Doesn't look possible in the current version. Window > Media Information (aka command + I) is the best you can do.

In the nightly builds, you can collapse the playlist by clicking on the playlist button. It's worth checking out.

Re: OS X Lion Native Fullscreen mode and Zoom

question:

I'm having the same issue. is there any way to revert to the previous VLC build until this function is fixed? I use my mac to watch all my tv/movies... not having full screen is sorta frustrating.

Thanks!

Re: Why does VideoLAN open in "Folder Mode"

Currently, this is the new interface. Perhaps there will be a change to the interface in a future releae, but you can always submit a feature request. And as always, you can revert back to 1.1.x from the archives. To answer your questions: There isn't a direct approach to revert to the pre-2.0 inter...

Re: Playlist Disabling & Default Window Size at startup?

1. Is there a preference to turn off the Playlist so it does not keep a history of what I play with VLC? I use this in a lab environment and do not want every next user to sit at the machine to see what the previous user was viewing. Try: Preferences > Show All > Interface > macosx > Uncheck "...

Re: Export video rotated

You can rotate video by using Window > Video Filters > Geometry tab > Transform.

I'm not sure about exporting (I've never used that feature) but I assume you can export using File > Exporting/Streaming Wizard.

Re: vlc 2.0 problems

Have you tried clicking the "Show/Hide Playlist" button (on the right side of the stop button)? That's odd you get the playlist on the left side, but if that doesn't work, I'd suggest deleting VLC preferences.

Re: Big problem with VLC! Help!!

Two other suggestions come to mind: 1. You should use the "Delete VLC Preferences" script found in the Goodies folder contained in the VLC dmg you download. That will remove VLC's preferences. 2. If VLC doesn't open at all, check to make sure you are using the right version for your archit...

thanks. but, OSX downloads are not working ("architecture not supported...") Sounds like you downloaded the 64bit version instead of the 32bit version. Note there are two types of Mac OS X downloads for HandBrake: 32bit and 64bit. 32bit version: http://handbrake.fr/rotation.php?file=HandB...
