Is it possible to make the delay for more than a second? The subtitles for a film I"m trying to watch happen to be about 30 seconds off.

Alright, so sometimes subtitle files don't quite match up with the dialogue in video files. VLC has an extremely handy audio delay option- is there a similar function available for a subtitle delay?

I have a MacBook OS X 10.4.10. It's fairly new and has 1 GB of ram. I'm running VLC 0.8.6c, and some (but not all) DVDs skip at the beginning of each chapter.
