This is a known issue with Leopard that is currently being worked on. Just wait for the next release and hopefully it will be fixed

GUI issue with Leopard...
On Leopard with the newest VLC player the video will overlap the control interface when I downsize the window. This really bugs me as I never saw this problem with Tiger!
