Could you please help me with this issue? I have been experiencing this issue since VLC 0.8.6 release and it would be quite useful for me to solve it but I need some help on it.
Additionally, VLC's RTCP Receiver Reports are sent to the tcpmux port instead of the related RTP+1 port when the server is VLC as well (running VLM VoD), but when using Live Media Server or Darwin Server, it works properly.
Yes, probably with BIFS and VRML support it would be possible through MP4box and Osmio to package and play "marked" streams, but it would let without RTSP support among others. That's why I asked for something more... "widely used" (if possible, but it seems not possible). Thanks...
Do you know any tool able to add and/or extract any kind of scripts/metadata/additional text to any video/audio container/file such as mp4, mpeg-2 or any other not being proprietary? This can be done with Windows Media File Editor and Windows' video files: http://www.jakeludington.com/images/wme/wm_...
Do you know any MPEG-4 compliant object coder and any MPEG-4 compliant object decoder (i.e. a player)? In the end, what I need is a software tool able to create objects and another to decode and render them.
So your question radically changes... You want to know how MP4 packetization works in VLC, don't you? AFAIK, VLC uses ffmpeg to transcode files so maybe you should take a look at ffmpeg source files and ask its community about your doubts. Session Atribute (a): range: npt=0-249.113 (which is correct). --> I can't find 'range...
You only need to download and install VLC for Windows, then transcode your files to MP4 format and then stream them using VLC as well. You don't really need to add any metadata to MP4 files.
Check VLC documentation in order to know how to transcode and stream files.
Hi, I have spotted a strange behavior when establishing a RTSP session between VLC 0.9.4 (client) and liveMediaServer from Live 555 team. The thing is that I want to start playing a VOD content streamed over RTP from a point of time different from the beginning. This is, for example, at 00:54, then ...
Maybe a silly question but... why the change to Qt in 0.9.x VLC releases? Can VLC 0.9.x be compiled with wxWidgets enabled instead and make VLC embedded window work properly?
Hi all, Just an example: While watching a movie through RTSP streaming or playing a local file, in a specific scene appears a car. I would like to show a cars' advertisement in this moment. I think that the best way to achieve it is to add metadata to the file and then process it in some way in the ...
